This epic event is held in and around the beautiful and gently rolling terrain which surrounds Crystal Mountain and will start and finish right at the resort!

If you haven’t ridden this awesome course before, check out this video from one of our 2022 racers.  Here are just a few of the great things about this race in particular: first, the venue. The trail system, which includes both Crystal Mountain property and state land, provides some of the most fun riding in Michigan. The hardwood and pine forests along with rambling two-tracks and flowing single-trackS will have you humming as you race. The course is fast and challenging but not so difficult that racers new to the sport won’t have a great time. Plus, the pre-race and post-race festivities at the Mountain are always a good time. While the adults manage to find their way to “adult” activities (read: quaffing cold ones post-race), the general atmosphere is totally family-friendly.

Then there’s the time of year: great temps, beautiful colors – ideal for hearty competition and great family fun.

Online registration opens at 12 pm EST on May 21, 2024, and closes at 11:59 pm EST the Wednesday before the race.

In 2024, the date for the race is set for Saturday, October 19. Online registration will close at 11:59pm on the Wednesday before the race (October 16, 2024). Changing Categories?

Decided to race in a different category? Want to get to the beer sooner? Or maybe you’re feeling like you’re ready to kick it up a notch? No problem, just email the race director with the change and we’ll make the adjustment in the registration data bank. If you’re changing ‘up’ to another class, i.e., from Sport to Expert, please send a check to cover the proper cost adjustment (typically $10) to the address on the website. Refunds for cost adjustments going from a more expensive class to a lesser expensive class are not available.

Please note: there will be NO race-day category changes allowed. There are a variety of reasons for this so please make sure you register for the category you intend to race. Thank you!
